History of the building

THE FRAME: Room for change

The old bricks contain a good piece of Rhineland industrial history: as early as 1906, a crane factory was erected on the Rheinhöfe industrial site in Düsseldorf. From the 1970s onwards, Düsseldorf develops into a service metropolis when crane construction in the Rheinhöfe is discontinued. In 2008, the site is lavishly revitalised, the narrow buildings cleared and the attractive industrial architecture uncovered. An international logistics hotspot emerges. In addition, companies from the creative industries, IT and consulting as well as educational institutes settle here to generate a stimulating environment. From the two halls, the well-known manufacturer "Hein Gericke" for motorcycle clothing supplies lifestyle to the whole world.
The spirit lives on: in 2018 spaces mgt GmbH takes over the halls and transforms them into an unusual and versatile event location under the name THE FRAME - DÜSSELDORF. From now on it's "born to be wild" again: Here, experiences burn into the minds and hearts of the people.
